Securities Commission Scholarship 2018 Interview - Experience and Tips

Hi, greetings everyone. ^_^

So, for this entry I'm going to recap my experiences throughout the whole interview process and you can click the link for each stages for more details and tips. I've been planning to write this since the first stage as they are no recent blog post on this matter. I started writing this after the third stage but probably release this much later, hopefully before next application opened hehe. >_<

Friendly reminder this is my personal experiences and point of views, there might be mistakes and might not contain the contents you expected but I sure certainly hope this will help you guys out in the future. I just thought to be able to go this extend was not easy so I might have done something right and I am glad to share it with you guys hehe. :)

Before i begin, for your information, Securities Commission Scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships in Malaysia. I was told that it provides a very good care for its scholars and is also very generous in its sponsors as well as a guaranteed job afterwards. So if you have are eligible to apply, grab ur chance to apply for it straight away! :D

Firstly, when I applied for this scholarship I was already in the 2nd Semester of my studies in IIUM and i used my first semester results for the application . So even if you did not have the chance to apply after SPM or after your foundation/matriculation, you can always just use your first semester result or any latest semester results as stated in the scholarship advertisement.
Better late than never guys. :3

So there are a total of 5 stages (hell that was long process haha) for the 2018 batch of applicants for the Securities Commission Scholarship Award.

(i will include the links once i finished them- might take some time)

First Stage: Online Assessment
Second Stage: Phone Interview
Forth Stage: Interview Session
Fifth Stage: Parents Interview @ Chat Session (ikr, they're very serious about this)

I sent the application on 16th April 2018 (the last day lol) and the result was announced in the 3rd week of Jul. (i told ya it was a long process.. so patience and perseverance is very important).

My overall experience for the process was genuinely amazing, I felt honored to be given the chance and gained so much new things as well as what to be improved in the future. All the stages need preparation (please prepare) and never underestimate anything no matter how small it might look.
I also personally want to thank these amazing people for their writings on Securities Commission Scholarship Interview which undeniably had helped me a lot throughout the stages. You can also check them out for more tips and perspectives :

My advice is that never prepare your application in the last minutes as they are many little things to be done other than filling out the blanks. You'll need to find 2 persons for the recommendation section (i had my high school teacher and lecturer for it, thank u very much Miss Aizar and Prof. Puteri Nemie) :). Basically u just need few of their infos to fill in the blanks, but make sure u have their permissions first hoho ;). You'll also need to upload pdfs of certified copies of few documents, so prepare them early so u have some ample time for the office to do it in case they're busy (i got it on the last day because of some complications, it was so bad i had to run everywhere please don't do it T^T).

Alright, i guess this is all the overview for the scholarship application, please help yourselves with the entries linked above. I hope these will help u in the preparations someway somehow.

Wishing u all the best! :)
